Tony Hawk once said that "skateboarding is an art form, a lifestyle, and a sport." Maybe it's even more than that. It is a lifestyle that embraces one's courage to stand out and live dangerously. It is a space that allows individuals to express their true selves.
Jugaad was established in 2015 as a platform that brings together skaters from across the globe to celebrate their common addiction of one simple thing: skateboarding. Organized by our friends at Escape Skateboarding, Bangalore; "Jugaad International Skateboarding Contest" is more than just a competition - it is an annual celebration and an event for athletes to showcase their skills. Skateboarding is now an Olympic Event and Jugaad is Ground Zero for any Olympic hopeful too.
At Supervek, our vision has always been to support and promote the growth of the local underground scene in the country. We draw a lot of inspiration from skateboarding as a sport as well as the the undying spirit of skateboarders to level up the gnar. Naturally, being involved with the contest and powering the skateboarders from the Veker Fam has been a long-term commitment we have been excited to keep.
